Lead History Teacher, full-time and permanent, required from January 2020
Salary: Main scale £24,373 – £35,971 p.a. Allowance TLR2a £2,796
Winchcombe School, a mixed comprehensive school with approximately 500 students aged 11-16, is seeking to recruit a full-time permanent Lead Teacher of History from January 2020, teaching pupils of all abilities in KS3/KS4 and preparing students for GCSE exams. You will also be required to teach a second subject. We welcome applications from NQTs as well as experienced History teachers.
Our school is located on the outskirts of a historic small town seven miles from Cheltenham and surrounded by the beautiful Cotswold Hills. The staff are friendly and supportive and Ofsted rated the school as ‘good’ at their last inspection.
The ideal candidate will, in addition to having the necessary teaching qualifications, be enthusiastic and an excellent communicator to motivate students to achieve their best. You will have an up-to-date appreciation of current educational developments.
