As a smaller than average school, of only 500 pupils, we are well placed to unlock their passions and interests. We have an experienced and skilled group of staff who care passionately about developing young people both academically and pastorally.
Set in an idyllic location with excellent facilities we offer an environment for learning that is both unique and stimulating. A recent multi-million pound investment has added new and refurbished facilities in Sport, Science, Technology and Drama.
A calm and purposeful environment is enhanced by a challenging and rich curriculum. Students feel safe and well cared for. The school builds strong relationships between the staff and students with a Student Council who help shape its direction. We are proud to have been recently inspected (March 2022) with Ofsted judging the school to be ‘Good’ in all areas.

The report emphasised the strong community of the school where high expectations lead to a calm and purposeful school with positive attitudes towards learning. Ofsted praised the leaders of the school in delivering a ‘wide and varied curriculum which prioritises students’ personal development’.
The two-day full inspection observed students in lessons and included in-depth discussions with diverse groups of students and teachers. The report recognised the well-sequenced curriculums that helps students know and remember content successfully; inclusive support for SEND; well-designed careers support and strong pastoral support.

As a popular and growing school, we have seen recent investment in our facilities: we now boast a refurbished Dining Hall and Auditorium. Our sporting facilities are exceptional with a Sports Centre; access to a full size 3G Astroturf pitch, alongside a wealth of open fields.
The School is dedicated to ensure every pupil has the same opportunities. In the past 18 months, we have provided over 80 laptops to pupils for use at home.
